girl, read your Bible.

Y'all this is so important. There's so many different opinions and false doctrine out there, if we don't know who Jesus is and what the Bible says, we'll be decieved faster then you think. The Bible says that if we add onto or take away from the gospel that our name will be taken out of the book of Life! That's serious, and that's why we have to be confident in His word yet humble. We live in a scary, hard, confusing, dangerous world, but Jesus promises to protect us if we follow Him. History is repeating itself. Not exactly the same but you can still see it.. Abortion is like the Holocaust, etc and I am scared it will only get worse. Satan is powerful and usually comes as something pleasing and attractive looking, he is the master of deception which is why we must root ourselves in Christ.
So girls (and guys!!!) Read your Bible!!
Comment any prayer request y'all have! We as Christians need to be here for each other to build each other up.

6 things to do when you feel spiritually empty]

6 things you can do when you're feeling spiritually empty:

  1. Surround yourself with positivity. [go to a Christian book store, write out verses or prayers]
  2. Relax. [de-stress, spend quiet time with the Lord every morning/night, drink tea, journal]
  3. Send someone a note of encouragement.
  4. Pray. pray pray pray. [even when you don't feel like it]
  5. Talk. [tell someone how you feel, we are here to support each others as Christians. Talk to someone, it helps]
  6. Read. [SCRIPTURE, quotes, uplifting books]

I feel like I've been going through a time of spiritual dry-ness. Everyone does, and it's nothing to be ashamed about, but even while you feel empty and far away from Jesus, He's still right there. He wants you to talk to Him about everything. Everything.

"God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved."
-Psalm 46:5

"I have heard thy prayers, I have seen thy tears, behold, I will heal thee."
-2 Kings 20:5

You don't have to be the happiest person to make someone else's life better.

CHOOSE JOY!!!

[p.s. sorry for the sorta randomness...i haven't quite sorted out all these thoughts of mine..but i'm hoping to be posting regularly again soon. ;) ]

Hello all! I was reading in my Bible this morning and found some verses that I felt like I should share with you. <33

Joel 2:10// The earth shall quake before them, the heavens shall tremble: the sun and moon shall be dark, and the stars withdrawn their shining.
11-And the Lord shall utter His voice before his army, for his camp is very great, for he is strong that executeth his word: Fro the day of the Lord is great and very terrible, who can abide it?
12-Therefore, saith the Lord, turn ye even unto me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.
13-And rend your heart, turn unto the Lord your God: For he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and to great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

21-Fear not O land: be glad and rejoice, for the Lord will do great things.

Joel 2 || ◇◇ Devotional

For the day of the Lord cometh, it is nigh at hand.
Okay, if you're like me, when you come to a Bible reference or anything like, that, a certain chapter in your Bible study, you will say , I have already read that..so what's the use of reading it again?? ..and then move on without much of a thought. You might feel guilty at first, but soon it is forgotten.
Guys, this is an AWFUL habit. I'm trying really hard and praying a lot about it this month. I'm on day 25 of my Bible study and really enjoying it.
Tip: When you are reading something that seems useless and boring, imagine the whole picture in your head. You can do this with practically any part of the Bible!

So here we're practicing that with Joel 2.  When you are reading this part of chapter 2, act like it's a book. That didn't always help me because as y'all know, I don't really like reading. But nonetheless, the picture it painted was crazy. Moons of blood and starts that withdrew their shine...God is seriously the best author..of everything.

A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.

Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.

They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:

Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.

The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

So, what did you think? And it wasn't even that terribly long eh?

And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
