be still

Try to take just 20 minutes out of your day today to just be still. Find a quiet place, like the woods or the roof! (Sometimes I have my bible time on the roof! :))
Just sit there, and enjoy whatever kind of weather there is. Enjoy whatever shade of blue the sky is. Just forget about everything going on in this crazy world, and be still.
(This is not mine. The rest are :) )

I've been tagged!!!!

Thanks so much to Paige, from styleforreallife.blogspot.com!! I'm so excited to do this post, it looks very interesting! So, let's get started!!!☺
Rules-
Thank the person who nominated you
Answer the questions
Tag however many people you want! I'm tagging 8.

Questions:
How did you start blogging? Well, my sister has a blog, and I kinda really wanted a blog, so I asked my parents and they said I could have one! I've been blogging for almost a year and a half. ☺
What are two pieces of advice that you'd want new bloggers to know?  I guess the first little piece of advice I'd give,  would be to write about everyday stuff. Riding horses, what's been going on lately. Although people like the inspiring, awesome, poetic type posts, I enjoy reading about you!
And the second would be to try to post pictures with your posts. Good pictures captivate people and gives them something to, well-look at!!! I love pictures and taking pictures and stuff like that!

And now,  I nominate....
Ashley - a country wildflower
Julia -the barefoot gal
Abi -and I will give you rest
Bonnie -bonnie's blessings
Tashia -joyfully living 4 Jesus
Tane -fifth out of ten
Jessica -apples of gold
Shalom -a farm girl's randomness

Hope you all enjoyed reading! And I hope that those of you whom I tagged, will do the tag!

Extra: we had church at our house last Sunday!

A Season for every thing

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.
A time to be born, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which was planted.
A time to kill, and a time to heal; A time to break down, and to build up.
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance.
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing.
A time to get, and a time to lose; A time to keep, and a time to cast away.
A time to rend, and a time to sew; A time to keep silence, and a time to speak.
A time to love, and  a time to hate;A time of war, and a time of peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

My prayer today:
Lord let me know when to act, when to speak , when to plant,  how to love.

A page from my journal-Hiking!

Here I am, sitting on a ledge, camera by my side. I am on the top of one of the many cliffs out here in the rocks, my feet are dangling beneath me. It's probably 50-60 feet to the ground.
I love it out here! There is a horizontal line of pine trees in the distance. A light shade of yellow is right above it. If you look to the right, there is some pink that creeps in  over the beautiful pine trees far away from where a whole group of hikers are watching- waiting for the sun to rise.
The wind gently, barely whispers, then is gone. A squirrel just scurried off up in the many branches of a nearby tree.

And here it is!!! The beautiful sunrise! It has risen just to the east of us! Now that it is risen, everything has lit up as if you just flipped a switch! And it is so beautiful..this was really amazing!

Extra-
What have we done to deserve such a beautiful world to live in? I know that there is a lot of bad in the world, but when you stop and really look around, and notice how beautiful anything can be, it is amazing! The faithful sun every morning, spreading it's warmth upon us. Every day, rising and shining from it's place higher than we could think about! The stars, and the glorious moon that lights our way for us when it is dark.
When you think about all this, it is like... the sun just rose. A switch just got turned on and we are able to see the beauty in every day life!

So let's try to have a shining countenance when we move on to the rest of our day. Be thankful. Be  truly happy.

(This was written after the Oct camp, but I'm just now getting around to posting it! )
(I use my mom's phone to post, and ask the pictures are on the camera. These were from pinterest. :)

October camp

Okay, I really didn't get very many pictures (at all), I kind of just enjoyed myself this time! (If you didn't see the last October camp post, scroll back in the 2015 posts ) I made a couple new friends, you know how camp is. Once you go a couple times, you feel like you've met everyone. We all had a great time, and the meetings were really good!
Here are some of the few pictures I got. There will be more hiking pictures once we get them uploaded.
