"Let my very next breathe, breathe out a song of praise to you. And my very next step, be on a road that was planned by You."
There's something I think the world needs to hear-The very next thing. For those of you that are a Casting Crowns fan, like me, you probably know what I'm talking about. This song is so good. If every person that listens to this song will just be focused on the very next words of love you can speak, the very next broken heart you can comfort, the very next way that He can use YOU, the world could start a revolution.
That girl standing alone over there, go ask her how she is doing. That neighbor you never have time for, invite them over for dinner. Maybe it would work for you to focus on 2 things a week that you can do for someone else. If you're always thinking about the very next thing, then I can assure you you'll grow in your relationship with the Lord, and it can even become a habit. sharing your faith, everywhere you go- I need to do more of that. Pray with people instead of just for them.
Can you relate to this song?
Will you start focusing on the very next thing??
Wow Paige. This is totally what I needed to hear. I was just thinking about how I need to enjoy the presence and not always look forward. Enjoy the moment. Thanks so much!!
ReplyDeleteYour comment means so much. I'm so very happy that you got something out of this!!! Your so welcome!!!
DeleteThis post "hit home" with me, Paige! I also want to say "thank you!" ❤
ReplyDeleteTHIS WAS BEAUTIMOUS PAIGE. <333 You are an amazing woman of God. He is going to take you to some amazing places!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, we need to start preparing for our futures RIGHT NOW. We need to not only look to the future, but see what we need to do to start preparing for it now.
It is SUPER COOL that we both wanna be missionaries, Paige! #kindredspirits IF YOU GO TO AFRICA I'M COMING TOOOOOOOO. xD Actually, the country of Indonesia has been on my heart a lot lately...I think God is calling me to that country...
Anyway, this was a great post, Paige! Looking forward to the vlog!!

Ikr!! That's why I thought I'd like your blog. (or realistically LOVE it :))) But it's 100% fine!! :)
YES YOU MUSTTT!!! That would just be awesomeness! That so great Ariel!! I think it is so neat how Jesus lays different places/things on our hearts!!! Keep serving Him!! <3
Well OF COURSE. He is definitely evident in your life!
DeleteI know, I just post about sorta controversial stuff on there, so I don't know if my parents would really like people who I don't personally know reading it. =( Did you get the invite to my other blog?? You were invited about a month ago--I don't know whether or not the invite came through.
I KNOW RIGHT WE MUST MAKE PLANS. =D
-Ariel
I'm so happy to hear that!!! <33
DeleteHonestly I try to be completely open minded about everything that Christians disagree on. I like to search things thoroughly out. And I really love someone else's opinion on something. Our family has experienced SO many different religions, etc. So many different ideas that when I was little I was really confused. So I learned early on that You're not always right about something, and keeping your mind open to new suggestions is the only way you'll ever learn/grow closer to Jesus. So please don't ever think that I would be offended at a post about your thoughts on a subject! <3
anyways...I didn't get an invite so I guess it didn't go through. :(
YES YES YES!!!!!! Wouldn't it be so great if that actually happened??!! We could (meet each other..lol) ahhhh, *starts dreaming....* <3333
Yep, as Christians we need to be open-minded...but it is also very important to stand firmly on the truths of the faith. At your age, it is amazing that you are so mature and open to everyone! <3
DeleteMy sister said that if I re-invited you, it might work, so I'm gonna go do that right now...let me know if it comes through! =)
*dreams with you*
-Ariel
Haha, YES, that too! It's really good to have a nice balance with it! :)
DeleteOkay! I'll check!!!!
<333
Aww shoot, I actually haven't invited you yet. =( Okay, I seriously am going to go get my tech-savvy sister RIGHT NOW and invite you! =)
Delete-Ariel
She just re-invited you, and it wasn't the wrong e-mail address, which is what she thought the problem might have been. We used the e-mail address at the bottom of your 'about me' page, so that should be the e-mail that the invite is sent to. Maybe you checked the wrong e-mail address for my invitation...?

I haven't heard this song, but I agree. It is so very easy to get caught up in dreaming about what we want to do, that we forget to actually go and do it =) I know I am always thinking I'll do it later -- when I am married, when I have my own family, when I am older, when I am a certified doula/midwife. But recently the Lord has been dealing with me on the here and now. Right now, this very minute, I can be doing something to show *my* world the glory of my Creator -- I don't (and shouldn't) need to wait until I am older, wiser, less busy, driving, etc. How often have I dreamed about helping someone, while I walk right by that girl who is so upset in the checkout line? When I could have helped her just simply by praying with her? Even my excuse of "I am too quiet and shy" is inadequate here =)
ReplyDeleteThank you for this reminder and encouragement :D
Yes, my problem is just always thinking ABOUT the future and not really living life where I am right now!! I do things to try and learn about midwifery, get a jump start, and yet am still just always thinking about things in the future. :) I agree with everything you said, yes!
DeleteYou want to be a doula or midwife??! That's awesome! how old are you?
Your welcome! Thanks for reading this!
=) Yes, yes, yes! I would REALLY enjoy doing midwifery, but where I live midwives and home births are illegal =/ I am almost completed with doula certification, and I am praying about volunteer work at our crisis pregnancy center, and other things the Lord would have me to do with this knowledge.
DeleteI am twenty, btw :D
