This September we went to Branson for a family getaway. <3 It was very nice, and some amazing things actually happened. Butttt, that is going to mostly be in a different post. XD First the fun stuff!
We went Kayaking, peddle-boating, swimming, and I was constantly drinking cappuccinos!!! THEY. ARE. TO. DIE. FOR.
I walked a lot, mostly with Micah, we explored everywhere!
We also went to a Light Show, which was awesome and they played the song that I CAN PLAY (on violin!!!) It was AWESOME, cuz now i feel like I can actually play a 'professional' song. XDD
I found a passion for something a little new, it's always been there, but now it's just stronger. (MORE IN ANOTHER POST)

Nice, I'm so glad you guys had fun!!! My fave is #1 lol, I just love the feeling of it!!! And yeah, college.... do you know what you'll be doing in college yet?
:) honestly, I have no idea what I will be doing in college! I am interested in becoming a midwife, but in my state I have to have my bachelors degree in nursing, so I don't really know if I want to do that. I have many interests, so I may consider studying to become some sort of teacher! :)

I have a question. You want to be a midwife. In your state, do you have to become a doula first? And do you have to have a bachelors and master's degree in nursing in order to become a certified professional midwife? That's what you have to have in my state, and I was wondering what the rules are for where you live.
Also, do you find that there's a great need for midwives in your state? A lot of people have been telling me there's not much business for doulas and midwives, which is kinda sad. But there are a few birthing centers around here I could join possibly.

ReplyDeleteNo, not in our state. In our state there are some rules, (esp in AR) but you can just apprentice with a midwife abs once you have your numbers, and you and the midwife feel confident that you know all you need to, you take a test. Most people do the NARM. That's what I'm gonna do, lord willing. <3 There isn't much of a need, still there are plenty of women who would need a midwife. The need is basically the same in most the US. That's why I would love to go to Africa where so many women have nothing and nobody.
Birthing centers are very nice! I just think that a lot of women don't use them as much bc of the expense.
