pros + cons of blogging [my opinion]

PROS:
  • a place to share pictures and randomness
  • meeting new people, and from all countries
  • finding Christians and homeschoolers, etc
  • a place to get or give advice (sometimes)
  • super sweet people

CONS:

  • the time and effort it can take
  • not able to be yourself/don't know how
  • comparing your life with others
  • not being able to relate with others
  • lots of half-friendships, or fake friends

I've def met some really amazing people thru blogger! the thing is.. i haven't really MET them. The Girl Defined sisters explained it well in the beginning of a video >>

did you watch some of that? i only watched the starting there, and it reallllyy put into words what i've been thinking. About how we have several friends online, but it's nothing like a real life friendship.
so while blogging is great, and we can lift people up, pray for them, etc, we'll still not really know them.
I started blogging bc I wanted to be like my big sister, Ashley. Soon after, I found that it was merely a wonderful way to share my pictures, and such. (and still is!) Now I blog bc 1) i would feel bad if i didn't 2) i have some awesome friendzies 3) i enjoy sharing pictures, and posting about adventures 4) i love looking back on memories 5) it is one way to try to make a difference.
and my online shop thing is really great too. <3

Why did you start blogging?
Pros and cons in your opinion??

to miss someone.

i kinda miss summer.

but then again, i miss
every season of life.
i miss every person i haven't seen
within three days
much more the ones i haven't seen
in three months; three years.
sometimes i've wondered what it'd be
like to not have that feeling
that feeling that tells you you are missing something.
i've wondered if we didn't have that,
would the agony of someones death be easier?
it's been years
since my grandpa died.
and my aunt and my little sister.
but still i miss them,
no matter how many years go by.
i fully realize that if we didn't miss,
then we'd take things for granted.
but i don't take things for granted
i cherish moments.
so why must i bear this awful agony?
why must my family grieve the loss
of so many people?
we do we have to miss?

well

i found an answer.
after thinking about it
the Lord brought it to my
attention that maybe,
it's to help others bear loss.
because then you can say
'i know how hard it is'
in all truth.
maybe it's just that then.
to help others.
to sympathize wholeheartedly with someone for
a loss or a happening or a thing.
and that glorious day feels so far off
i know there will be so many more days
where i'll cry after looking at the
pictures of my sister.
or cry at the evilness of this world
or for the souls of so many people.
missing teaches you something.
it teaches you to love more freely,
help more willingly.
so i really mustn't t think of death
as an agony,
a tragedy yes,
but God has been there.
He's been working
all along and will be for many more years.
forever, He'll be by my side.
and yours too.
just always remember that. xx

What c o n n e c t i o n means to me || PICTURE OVERLOAD.

c o n n e c t i o n.

It's truly a wonderful thing, to connect with someone. There are levels of connection, there are the common interests, and then the level of very, very deep connection...the type where you can talk until 2 am and not get tired. You can cry and laugh at the same time and they laugh and cry with you.
I believe that people need connection. And for me, it's something that I even desire. I care deeply for people and there feelings, and that's part of it. To connect with someone, you have to care, make effort. It's not easy to find the friend that you can be weird around and they except it, it's really not.
Connection can be difficult. To connect, I think we have to share, and in return, the person has to share with you. But not everybody is just going to tell you there deepest struggles and life problems... it takes time and investment.  I'm not saying that you have to always be digging around in other people's lives, but to show that you care you must make time to just be with them, get to know them better, etc.
So I'm challenging y'all, go find 3 people and invest some time in listening to them, or talking to them. Really think about it, if it's just messaging or in real-life. Remember that if you're praying for it, God will give you opportunities to share with people, help people.
Btw, in my opinion, you can never have too many friends. ;)

P.s This has been in drafts for awhile. finally posting it. xD
p.p.s all of these pictures are special to me, just like a time in my life that I treasure and will want to remember later on down the road. <33

What does connection mean to you?
Do you like cilantro?? xDD
